Family Support Groups – Aphasia Institute

** Currently offered online only **

During COVID-19, family support groups are being offered online on a weekly basis.

Monthly Family Support Group Meetings are available to family and others after the New Beginnings program ends.

Groups focus on continued support for family members affected by aphasia, and family members affected by Primary Progressive Aphasia.

The groups are facilitated by social workers.

Contact Leanne Buck (lbuck@aphasia.ca) or call 416-226-3636 x115 to register for the Family Support Group.

"The training I attended at the Aphasia Institute served to enhance my existing skills in communicating with persons with aphasia and provided me with an abundance of new knowledge and strategies. I feel confident now that I can better communicate with my patients/clients as well as train other professionals and support personnel to communicate effectively with persons with aphasia. The staff are professional and bring a wealth of experience to the table. Great courses!"
